10/21/2023 0 Comments Dolby digital 7.1 creates![]() ![]() Reverts any prior configuration to stereo anyway. Ticking "enable virtual 7.1 surround" does nothing as the control panel still reports stereo to games and You see, most of the modern games base their sound output on windows' own speaker setup, with no possibility to select something else. Except, most of the time it simply does not work, or to be more precise, there's a glaring design oversight from microsoft. With creators update microsoft gave us the possibility to use surround virtualization, which is nice. Note, windows sonic for headphones exibits the same behaviour, so it's not I went through some posts here about the issue but found no helpful answers, most of the time people just don't understand the issue, so i'm going to clarify it as much as possible.
